St. Pete Weekend

T and I drove over to St. Pete this weekend to hang out with Brooke and Gracyn and Scout (Brooke's mom)....we had a FABULOUS time! Brooke is the best hostess ever and thought of everything. Thanks again, B!! On Saturday, we went to Anna Maria Island and spent the whole day....it was a perfect beach day and we all had fun. T built sand castles, jumped the waves, picniced, chased the seagulls and literally rolled around in the sand! Notice the close-up pic below with sand in his eyebrows! Saturday night, we had a delicious seafood dinner at home - snapper, rock lobster, and shrimp. B made an amazing salad with mango and olives and feta! We watched Nemo and read books to the kids and colored. Sunday, we went for a nature walk, did sidewalk chalk and then went to a great place by the water for a yummy brunch. Let the kids climb on some cool - and enormous - banyan trees afterward. Then went to the Pier to feed the pelicans some real fish - T LOVED this part! He got to stand up on a 4 foot high platform and drop the fish down to the pelicans. Afterward, T even tried to pet a pelican but that bird snapped at my baby! Ungrateful creature. :) We even tried to take a boat tour out to see the dolphins but alas, the boat broke right when we were ready to board so we got a raincheck! Instead, we went to B's neighborhood pool - slides and a kiddie area...super fun! We got back yesterday evening...tanned, tired and relaxed! We can't wait to go back...
