London Trip

We set off from Orlando last week...Taylor was a trooper from the beginning, helping Daddy tote the luggage through the airport.
 
Our plane...no, we did not get to sit in the upper deck. :)
T immediately put on his PJs on the plane and was so good the entire flight. He watched a movie, ate his dinner and then slept for four hours. Perfect!
 
On the Gatwick Express train in London on way to Victoria Station...Taylor got a crash course in big city living - TRANSPORTATION is always the biggest part of your day! :)
That afternoon we headed to Chelsea's home stadium - Stamford Bridge. Not sure which of the boys were more excited!

Then we went to Yo!Sushi for dinner...Taylor LOVED the conveyer belt of choices and within seconds, he had piled three plates onto his table.
 
T's first tube ride...he was pleasantly surprised that no dirt and rocks fell on his head while he was underground. :)
 
While Daddy was at his conference, T and I visited Harrod's. Mommy may have been more impressed than the kid.
 
Then another tube ride...
 
After meeting Daddy at Wagamama for lunch, we headed to the British museum but got sidetracked by a tourist pic of a red phone booth!

We visited The Tower of London next where Taylor learned about torture, beheadings and got to see the crown jewels. Quite a history lesson for a 5 year old!

After the tower, we took a water taxi back to our hotel.
The kiddo was POOPED after a looong day seeing London!
 
The next day, we forced him to try some real fish and chips at a pub...NOT his favorite in case you could not tell from his expression.
 
And we visited The London Eye - probably T's favorite thing on the itinerary! boy was it CROWDED down there.
 
Great views of the city though...this is Buckingham Palace from far away.

Now you may look at this pic of my two guys deep in discussion in the nave of Westminster Abbey and have allusions that they were pondering religion or philosophy or the meaning of life...but in actuality, they were discussing SOCCER!! :)

  We had a nice family dinner that evening at a local Lebanese restaurant.

T enjoyed taking his new Monarch cards into the National Portrait Gallery to compare pictures and see which ones he had.
 
Went to see Shrek the Musical our last day in London - very cute!
