Well saturday was opening day for Oviedo Little League and we were there ALLLLLLLL day! It was lot of fun...busy and HOT. 90 degrees and sunny....a little too warm for February, even in Florida, in this mama's opinion!
The kids started the day at 8:30 AM by lining up with their teams for the parade.
Then each team paraded. one by one, onto the big field...notice #7 leading the pack! We had ALL the teams out there at once...from the 3 yr olds in Tball to the challenger league players to the teenagers in softball and baseball. Pretty cool!

There was a dunk booth at the carnival and this is T's coach...he was a good sport and let Tman walk up and push the button after he used all the allotted balls and had not dunked him yet. T thought that was great! :)
There were all sorts of bounce houses including this one where you dress in a velcro suit and throw yourself against a velcro wall to stick. Pretty hilarious. T's suit was too big and at one point, he fell down and could not get up - he looked like a little roach on his back. So like any good mom, I cracked up while he flailed and panicked and waited for the teenage boys to come pick him up. He was all smiles once again when he finally knew he would not be stuck there forever. :)
This is T and one of his new friends from school - Danny Taylor. These boys ran full tilt in the heat for 4 hours Saturday afternoon.
T's favorite was this Wrecking Ball Bouncer....this is him trying to keep his balance as the big wrecking ball flew at him...
And these are his feet in the air as he fell backward...he thought this was the best bounce house of the bunch!

And finally the game! It was not til 4 PM so the kids were EXHAUSTED after running around all day in the heat. I love this action shot of T at bat though....mid-swing, ball in the sweet spot.
This is T and his buddy Brock in "baseball ready" postion in the field...so cute!
All in all, a great day for baseball and a great day at the fields...not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

sounds like an awesome family day sis! ANd T is the cutest little baseball player I've seen in a while (probably since Harris was his age:-)
I'm sure he had a blast! I bet he slept well that night too :-)

*Where was Dan and his Yankee gear? :)
*I loved how the "Murphree" name on the back of T's shirt sort of scrolled down cause it was so long

You gotta quit referring to such a great baseball player as "cute".
