On saturday, we met Aunt Ami, Harris and Wrenn at Itchetucknee Springs (just north of Gainesville) and we spent the beautiful sunny day tubing down the river. The river is really gorgeous and stays a chilly 72 degrees year-round! We saw birds, turtles, fish, lots of dragon flies and BIG spiders!! The kids has a blast....and the moms were just happy to be able to get together like this - never would have happened when we lived so far away in Texas! (No pics on the actual river bc everyone stringly suggested you not take a camera unless it was waterproof and they were right -everything about us and our tubes was SOAKED when the trip ended!)
We had a yummy and relaxing picnic at the end of the tube ride...
And of course the boys found a way to play "swords" - with sticks and a trash can lid!
Just as an add-on....this is Tman decorating his gingerbread man for school last week...notice the black mask and red feather he used...he claims it is supposed to be Magneto!
And just to show off (and bc my birth board buddies and I have been obsessed with lunches lately since we are all new to this school business), this is T's lunch today. Sushi, a red pepper and mozzarella kabob, bread sticks, Andes chocolate and witch finger grapes....all stuff I know he loves! Yet he probably will not eat it. For the first two weeks, I have tried eveyrthing! Boiled eggs, boiled peanuts, sandwiches, cheese and crackers, etc....and nothing gets eaten much, if at all. He told me last night that he does not want to eat in front of the other kids until he knows them better. Whatever! If he does not eat the lunch today, the kid is getting water and crackers from now on. :)

sis- T's lunch makes me feel like I am sending my kids water and cracker- his is so fancy! Tubing on Sat was lots of fun- so happy to see you both!
