Well we kicked off 2018 like you are supposed to - with cornbread and black eyed peas!!
still chilly outside so we started a fire and Chelsea LOVED IT
The big Peach bowl between undefeated UCF and auburn happened on the 1st as well...Dan was very divided as evidenced by his backwards Auburn shirt and UCF cap! :) GOOOOO KNIGHTS!
On the 4th, T and I set off south with Caleb and Cristina...T was a napping fool in the car much to his buddy's chagrin.
Yes it was cold but still gorgeous!

We went on a hike through the mangrove trail
Then had a great seafood dinner one the water - check out this AMAZING sunset!
The next morning, in the wind and cold, we went kayaking!
Later we went exploring and found Big Betsy, this statue of a giant spiny lobster. Can you say PHOTO OP!?!?
Had a great lunch at Lorelei Cafe on the water....bloody mary anyone?

Weird kid who came to the Florida Keys to eat ALASKAN SNOW CRAB! Ok I admit it was yummy!

The boy had to don his first ever wet suit to swim with dolphins...I am thinking he will not be a surfer!
They got to give kisses to this sweet 38-year old mama dolphin named Sam.
And of course other fun tricks. The water temp was 60 so they were troopers and had fun!
Then off to parasail which T has been dying to do again since the family vaca this summer....
I stayed in the boat to take pics....naturally!
ANd that evening we had water front dinner again...this time I went local and got Hog Fish for the first time. DELICIOUS!!
Crsi and I had our obligatory fruity drinks! Complete with paper umbrellas!
We bid adieu to the Keys and headed back home but on the way, instead of stopping for an hour lunch at a fast food joint, we extended the fun and stopped at a bowling alley! We ate lunch and bowled...
And played in the arcade before piling back in the car to head home...until next year, Experience Gift!!
Last weekend, we went to the dog park again and Chelsea found a mini English bulldog her same age and oh my, they were funny playing together!
