We had the annual Swamp Soiree in T's classroom last week...the kids made special shirts, and ranger hats...
Some friend of the teacher's brought his Airboat up there for the kids to check out...T was bring blown around in this pic - but did not lose his hat! :)

Cups o' dirt...we also had swamp juice (green punch), and slime (green jello), alligator tails (green grapes on skewers) and frog legs (chicken fingers).
The parents had a chance to walk around and look at other kids' projects...this was one kid's Bald Eagle project - made of Leggos!

Each kid also wrote a poem about their Florida animal of choice...then presented it in front of the group that night at the soiree. T did his best to recite his poem as quickly as possible and sit back down. :)
The teacher presented T with the "Stump" award...before the video started, she said "there is always one in every class!" and we all laughed. It was not an award that surprised me as this kid o' mine has been stumping me for years...and I have also been referring him to his dad for answers. :)

Boy, that field trip looks like fun. Glad Taylor is having such a good year and doing so well. Loved the "Stump" award - very appropriate.
