We made a quick visit to Tally this weekend to visit Mimi and the family. T enjoyed himself having a sleepover with his cousins Friday night and his good buddy Landon Saturday night. Mom and I enjoyed ourselves too - with a glass of wine and some good convo on her back porch!
the next morning, sweet Aunt Ami agreed to take Tman and WEW with her to a 10K she was running....the kids were going to run the 1-mile fun run but decided they REALLY wanted to do the 5 K instead. So this was T's first "real" 5K (I am not officially counting the Color Run we did since we walked most of it)...his sweet cousin stayed with him the whole time and they finished in 44 minutes!
Notice Tman in the blue shirt on the far left of the pic - after the race he told Aunt Ami "I was in first place in the very beginning of the race!" LOL indeed he was!

Later we went and watched Landon's baseball game
That night, T slept over with Landon and his moms had a TON of fun activities planned...starting with marshmallow and skewer "tinker toys."
And this super cool art activity -
Painting canvases with waterguns! when these dried, they looked cool and T's is now hanging in his room at home!
They also used tarp, a fan and duct tape to make a room-sized bubble for the boys to play in which apparently brought on lots of giggles!
And lastly - a science experiment! Did you know that a bar of plain ivory soap will blow up like this after 40 seconds in the micro?? Then you can crush it and use the soap flakes....to wash with or to have a soap "snow" fight like these crazy kids did! :) I am super grateful to Ami and Maria and Michelle for keeping my boy this weekend and showing him such a good time!
Lastly we got to enjoy a yummy brunch with the whole fam....notice Mimi's new hair 'do! She looks amazing!!

So glad all of the grandchirren are running - not a better way to stay fit.
I'm going to try that Ivory soap trick - looks like fun!
