Long Weekend

We definitely love a long holiday weekend and this was no exception!  Saturday,  we went with Amy and Charlie out to Cocoa Beach to see our buddies from Chicago.  They were just finishing up from a week long Disney cruise and had a few hours to play with us before they flew back north.

Then we agreed to go down to the water's edge and let them play.  You would have thought the ocean was too cold but nope, they were all about it!

That night, we went down to Disney to meet my BFF Gretchen and her family who were in town for their family vacation. This is T and little Mitchell lounging on Lighting McQueen.

T has been claiming interest in tennis lately so we went to the local park and played a bit of tennis on Sunday.

Yesterday we had a family outing...we went and bought Tman some new supplies for his Little League and then went to Home Depot for a few house things.  THEN Taylor really really wanted to go to dinner at an indian restaurant.  Like, he was OBSESSED.  He loves indian food like no one I have ever met.  So we drove to our usual place but it was closed.  Dan and i were ready to give up and just go home but NO, Taylor was not accepting that.  So we called another place across town but they were not open for another two hours...which meant we drove around doing other little errands until the restaurant opened.  (oh the things we parents do when our kids want something!)  It was actually pretty laughable...

When we finally got seated and got our order, it was worth it because Taylor was completely silent for 10 minutes while he stuffed his face with naan and paneer makhani!  hilarious!!

All in all,  a great weekend - all weekends should be 3 days long, I think!
