Soooooo....this first pic is our view from our dining room as we sat reading the paper and sipping our coffee last Sunday. We live in a cul-de-sac and our neighbor has three chickens. Occasionally they walk around the circle. We love them - mainly bc they always make me laugh! In Oviedo, where we live, you see chickens all the time - at the library, school, shopping lots - because years ago, a chicken farm was at the center of downtown Oviedo. Now, they are treated like royalty all around our little town.
Monday, we got home to an awesome holiday surprise from Pam and PawPaw! It was The Night Before Christmas book with PawPaw and Pam's voices recorded reading in it. Pretty cool gift especially since that has always been PawPaw's tradition to read that book every Christmas Eve to his kids and/or grandkids.Now even if we are not together, we can still their voices!
T and his Daddy have been playing some chess too - last night, T won for the first time. It's pretty awesome to watch his little brain try to think several steps ahead to decide what is the best move. He is really pretty darn good. And finally I am learning a bit of chess myself!
Of course we decorated our annual gingerbread house...messy!
Sunday we met some of T's old buddies from Creative School for a gift exchange and holiday party in the park. Love all these boys - such such sweet kids with great families!
Friday night, we went to a cookie exchange with some of Dan's co-workers - we do it every year and it is always fun - T loves it too bc there are many boys around his same age who always show up.
So now the coundtown to Christmas begins...4 more days! I wish all of you a happy and safe and relaxing holiday! XOXO
