I think the best description is to tell you Taylor's list of his Favorite Fifteen Things from the trip....he told them to me on the drive home yesterday. So let's see if I can remember!
1. Riding in the pontoon boat.
2. Looking for sandcrabs with PawPaw on the beach every night at dark.
3. Finding sand dollars
4. Fishing from the boat.
5. Racing Go-karts
6. Riding in the waves on Pawpaw's raft and his new inflatable boat.
7. Playing the balloon game with Pam
8. Blowing bubbles off the balcony.
9. Judging the grown-up's cooking contest.
10. Sleeping with Mommy.
11. Swimming in the pool with his cousins.
12. The kids' dance contest
13. TWINKIES, MONKEY BREAD, and DING DONGS!
14. Making his own sushi.
15. Playing Bakugan with his cousins.
And that, folks, is the vacation perspective from a 4-year old! :)

Cookoff time! It was pasta this year and yep, pawPaw won again! He made a lemon-scented alfredo with scallops on fettucine. Pam's Three-Cheese Macaroni with Shrimp got my vote though. My dish was a Pineapple and Curry pasta with clams and scallops and mussels. We had a great time as usual!
My lifelong BF, Gretchen, drove over from gulf Breeze with her six year old daughter and spent Friday with us. She even helped judge our cookoff - and I promised not to hold it against her that we have been friends for over twenty years and she still did not vote for MY pasta! :)

PawPaw sang House of the Rising Sun to his two grandsons one night before bed
On saturday, we rented a pontoon boat which was super fun.
T loved playing in pawPaws' fishing tacklebox.
Ami and Wrenn enjoyed the nice breezy boat ride.

Uncle D helped T catch this fish...oh and that spot on his forehead is fish poop! YUCK.
T even drove the boat for a few minutes!
pawPaw tried to take a nap but his youngest grandson kept tickling him and putting ice cubes on his belly.
Harris tried to rest between Pam and Ami too.
Look at all the sand dollars we found when we went snorkeling. They are brown when they are alive so we have to bleach them at home but we found enough to give one to every student in T's new preK class!
We had a friendly family race at the local Go-Kart track which was awesome!
Taylor and I taught the fam how to roll their own sushi rolls and everyone seemed to enjoy it. They made some YUMMY rolls too! Ami's was my fave with red pepper and pineapple.
On the way home yesterday, we stopped at our friends' house in Tally and let Taylor and Landon play for a while to break up the trip.
I am sad vacation is over but glad we have such fabulous memories!

I hated to see it end - so much fun. I know that Taylor's fifteen faves were a 4-year old's perspective, but I agree with him -those were my faves also.
I'd love to make that an annual event.
