Well, we had a good weekend - but it was COLD!! Friday night, Taylor Dan and I went to sushi for dinner. Taylor had his usual - miso soup, seaweed salad, sushi rice, and a few pieces of cooked CA roll (minus the Krab). When we got home, we made a fire in the fireplace. I thought Taylor would be fascinated by the concept but alas, he was barely amused! Saturday morning, it was about 35 degrees when we woke up yet Taylor still insisted on going outside. So we bundled up and went in the backyard and raked up leaves. T even had his first experience of jumping into a big pile of leaves - what fun! That afternoon, we drove out to Kilgore for some ribs at Country Tavern. Sunday morning, Taylor and Mommy went out for their usual Sunday morning breakfast together. Pancakes and hashbrowns and eggs - yummy! When we got back home, Taylor and I walked around the neighborhood and even spent some time lying on our backs in the front yard watching the leaves fall and the birds fly and the clouds move. (Okay yes, I LOVED lying in the grass with my sweet boy's head right beside mine...even if only for a few precious minutes.) Then yesterday afternoon, the whole family went to Toys R' Us and bought Taylor a Little People memory game and a 96-pack of Crayons...that boy LOVES to color...and so do Mommy and Daddy!!
All in all, a very nice weekend...wishing a happy and safe holiday week to everyone.
