There has been a lot going on around here the past few days...and thankfully I took pics of all of it! :) Check out our garden goodies...we have carrots now! And they are tasty. We also continue to harvest several peppers every week from the garden...gotta love December weather in the 80s! :)
Last Thursday evening, we went up to T's school to help assemble over 10,000 healthy meals for hungry kids in the central Florida area...check out our hair nets!
This was our station...our one hour shift actually assembled 5,000 meals and the shift after ours assembled the remaining meals.

These were the meals we assembled...lentil casseroles. T held the bag under a funnel and each of the other folks on our team added ingredients, a scoop at a time. Then the folks at the end of the table sealed it and weighed and boxed it. It was a pretty cool night and we made some good family memories.
A pic of Tman and his chocolate advent calendar. First thing every morning - like 6 AM - he runs in there and pops out his chocolate for the correct day. I am kinda shocked he likes it so much.
OH and another big happening around the homefront...T earned his yellow belt in karate Friday night.

Saturday we took our buddy Caleb with us to the new Public History Center in Sanford...it is an old school building from the early 1900s and they had a cool even for kids on Saturday. There was a history scavenger hunt and the boys loved it - and even learned a lot!

Or a big ol' topography globe?? The boys "felt" Florida and were interested to note there are no mountains here. Well indeed, there are not! :)

That evening, we met James and Caleb and Vincent and their moms at our little town's Christmas tree lighting at the local park. Our boys met up with some older boys and played football...
Then they headed to the playground...bc what is more fun than a playground at night? Oh and yes...they got hot and took their shirts off. I think they thought they looked tough but really they looked goofy. :)

Congratulations to Taylor ... both for achieving his yellow belt and for helping with the meals. Awesome work, T-man!
I love keeping up with you guys through your blog. You all do such awesome stuff! I LOVED the big wall map and the globe. So neat about the meals! Merry Christmas, friend!
